It is Thanksgiving Week & residents are taking advantage of Black Friday online shopping deals - which means an increase in package deliveries throughout our communities.
RESIDENTS: Please beware of package thieves, and take the necessary steps to prevent yourself from becoming a victim!
Arrange for packages to be delivered when you are home.
If you cannot be at home, have your items delivered to your workplace OR to a trusted friend, family member, or neighbor who can be home to receive them.
If the above options are not available, arrange for in-store pick up. Many big box stores will allow you to ship your items directly to your local store.
Utilize shipment tracking, so you know where your packages are at all times.
Be aware of suspicious persons or vehicles who may be following behind delivery trucks. Report any suspicious activity to MSPD 256-383-6746
