Ross Hill Loved to Host Bull Events | Colbert County Alabama Cattlemen's Association
Ross Hill loved to host bull events. Ross’ first bull riding was held in his dad’s back yard in the early 2000’s on the Fourth of July. The July 4th Bull Riding continued for a few years. It moved from the back yard to the front yard then to Doublehead Resort as it continued to grow each year. He skipped a few years as his bullfighting career became more demanding. Then in February 2008, he decided to host a “Straight from the Dirt” event which included bull riding, bullfights and dirt bikes. This was an action-packed event for all involved from the participants to the workers to the spectators in the stands.
The Ross Hill Memorial BULFFEST is a way to continue Ross’ love for hosting a bull event, remember Ross and raise money to give back locally through scholarships and donations. This will be an annual event for years to come so if you are interested in being a part of this committee and/or event in the future, please reach out to us. Thank you so much for attending and supporting the dreams and legacy of Ross Hill.
