Colbert County Animal Shelter is in Desperate Need of Fosters, Adopters, and Donations

We are in desperate need of fosters and adopters and donations!

We also need volunteers to walk dogs, help us keep up on laundry and dishes, play with our babies or anything else they would like to help with!

We are currently holding 120+ animals! Some don’t like kids, a lot don’t like dogs but they all want a home just the same!

We have used up all of our medium and large pop up crates for the dogs we have, if you have extras that you no longer use, we could definitely use them! They have to be wire and not plastic, they dogs demolish plastic

Please if you have the means to care for an animal, please please please consider adopting one of our babies!! They need relief and so does the shelter! We are doing EVERYTHING in our power to save these babies!

If you find a stray and could foster it until we can make room for it, that would be great! We don’t know how long of a wait that would be!

We are in desperate need of Purina puppy chow! We have over 20 puppies, we have a mama who is currently having puppies and our severely emaciated dogs go on puppy food! We are also desperately needing cat litter! We have a full house in the cat room and they run through the litter like crazy!

We need fosters for pregnant mama cats that are about to give birth! The shelter setting is so stressful on everyone, especially new mamas and their littles!

With more dogs comes the need for more dog food, canned and dried (mostly dried). We always needs towels and small blankets for our babies! We use so much tide and downy on laundry it is unreal! We need floor cleaner and 55 gallon contractor bags because the dogs poop… alot! We use a TON of paper towels daily trying to keep up the cleaning on the babies! We would love to have some of the pork bone chews for the dogs to keep them from getting bored and chewing the kennels! . Also, with so many in pop up crates, we could use metal bowls that hold 4-6 cups for water and food.
