The Shoals Area Labor Council hosted their annual dinner at the IBEW 558 building in Sheffield, where they recognized local law enforcement and expressed their support for each local Department.
Mac Sloan, President of the Council presented a posthumous award honoring Sheffield Police Department's Sergeant Nick Risner as a "Friend of Labor Posthumous Person of the Year". Accepting the award were Sgt Risner's daughter Aili Risner and his wife Brandy Risner.

Sheriff Frank Williamson, Colbert County Sheriff's Office
We greatly appreciate the Council supporting local law enforcement and we stand with them as they honor SGT NICK RISNER for his brave service to his community and the sacrifice he so humbly gave.
