This summer we are featuring COEHS 2021-2022 student award recipients. COEHS awards are presented each spring to outstanding faculty, staff and students. Today's feature is Kimberly Patterson. Kimberly received the Outstanding Graduate Student in MAED in Special Education Award.
Kimberly is nominated for outstanding graduate student because of her sincere dedication to the field of special education. Ms. Patterson currently teaches 7th and 8th grade students at Brooks High School in Lauderdale County. As a graduate student, Ms. Patterson consistently produces high-quality assignments and engages classmates in meaningful and insightful discussion. Her professional demeanor with peers and students is positive and supportive, with an aim to provide effective services and continuously improve as a teacher. Most importantly, during collaborative projects and field experiences, she displays a strong passion for teaching and advocating for individuals with exceptional needs.
