NORTHWEST-SHOALS COMMUNITY COLLEGE: NW-SCC to offer virtual Constitution Day program on September 17

Northwest-Shoals Community College issued the following announcement on Sept. 10.

The online NW-SCC Constitution Day Celebration program will focus on the historical need for democracy and its relevance in today's society. The event will be held live through Webex at https://nwscc.webex.com/nwscc/onstage/g.php?MTID=e268828df21f27f4cfbb7ac362ec480b7.

NW-SCC Assistant Dean Dr. Crystal Reed will moderate the program. “It is exciting to be able to offer our annual constitution day program in a virtual format for our faculty, staff, students, and community,” stated Reed. “Obviously, I wish we could offer this in our traditional setting, but we are grateful to be able to hear from Judge Rosser and our show choir to celebrate this historic day.”

Judge Daniel Rosser was elected as the Colbert County Probate Judge in 2012 after 15 years in a private law practice. His professional activities include service on the Probate Judges Advisory Committee for Alabama Secretary of State John Merrill and membership in the National College of Probate Judges. Rosser is active in several community organizations that include service as a trustee for the Colbert Lauderdale Baptist Association and Judge Advocate for Post 31 of the American Legion. He and his wife, Tina, along with their daughter Charley, are active members of Parkview Baptist Church.

Constitution Day is held annually on September 17th, to commemorate the signing of the United States Constitution which took place on September 17, 1787.
