64 percent of applicants to the University of North Alabama were admitted for fall 2018

At the University of North Alabama, 89 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 60 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Florence enrolled 7,488 students in fall 2018, including 6,153 in undergraduate and 1,335 in graduate programs, data shows. 10.3 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

84 percent of undergraduates are residents of Alabama, and 13 percent are residents of other states. 3 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (72 percent) and Black or African American (14 percent).

The school admitted 64 percent of the 4,450 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 35 percent enrolled.
